In our cellar locally grown and sourced grapes from throughout New England are processed into small batches of wine, usually less than 250 cases per label to create unique cuvee blends each vintage.
We grow Traminette, Arandell, Marquette, and Chambourcin grape varietals on just over 2 acres and blend them with local Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Catawba, and Concord grapes.
Select outer region grapes are used in small proportions allowed by federal law to enhance the body, color, finish, and flavors of the wines each year to make the blends as dynamic as possible each year.
Dry Rose’ made from native pink skinned Catawba juice grapes have a delicate fragrance of grapefruit blossoms and cotton candy. This wine emanates flavors of pink lemonade and orange marmalade. Enjoy this chilled with ripe mango, cheese fondue, and pineapple glazed hams.
This is a blend of 75 % Riesling, and 25% Traminette. Traminette, a hybrid of Gewürztraminer bred by Cornell is a great compliment to Riesling. It offers zesty grapefruit spiciness with bright floral aromas that really balances the grassy minerality in our local Riesling. This wine has a brilliant golden luster with rich fragrant aromas of peach, honeydew, and pineapple. Pair with Lobster Carbonara, balsamic glazed strawberries, & baked brie.
Unoaked Chardonnay was produced with fruit from the Southeastern New England Coast in Westport Massachusetts. This was fermented in all stainless steel on the less and inoculated with Malolatic bacteria to offer a nice lush full body that retains excellent floral citrus notes. Savor the classic golden straw color and brilliant inviting aromas of golden raspberry and lime on the nose. Luscious flavors of golden pineapple linger on the palate with a crisp quince finish. Pair with fresh shucked or grilled oysters, swordfish, or lemon meringue pie.
Produced with 85% Massachusetts and 15% Chilean Pinot Noir that underwent malolactic fermentation and was then finished in new Hungarian oak for 2 months. Savor aromas of strawberry and spice along with a light garnet color. Flavors of cherry, rhubarb, and chanterelles brim on the palate with a lasting smooth finish. Pair with Nantucket scallops, Long Island Peking Duck, fiddleheads, or Peach Tart Tatin.
Cabernet Franc is made with a blend of 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% NY Cabernet Sauvignon. This was aged in new American oak and Hungarian Oak barrels for 6 months. Classic deep ruby color with complex spicy and herbal aromas paired with dark fruit flavors of cherry & cassis. This is a perfect complement to grilled venison or smoked pheasant.
This unoaked blend is made of native, hybrid, and vinifera grape varietals that explode with fresh berry aromas while luscious grape jam flavors fill your palate. This is a light fruity grape wine for casual sipping at the beach or making your favorite Sangria! Enjoy this with chocolate covered bacon, savory truffle cheeses, or warm island days.
Sand Castle Blend
This reserve blend is made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Zinfandel grapes from northern and southern hemisphere coastal wine regions, aged in American and Hungarian oak barrels for 12 months. Savor the sensuous black fruit and vanilla bouquet, followed by layers of black licorice, ripe currants, coffee, and it finishes with a peppery spice. Serve with summer grilling, holiday goose, and dark chocolate truffles.
